The 2023 edition of the Longines Royal International Horse Show promises to surpass all expectations with an exciting agenda of classes and competitions. The event is open to the public from Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th July, and this year's highlights include:
 
  1. British Showjumping Winter Finals: Kicking off the event on Wednesday 26th July. Places for these finals have been fought for in qualifiers up and down the country.
  2. Ashby Underwriting Eventers’ Challenge: With eventing having returned to Hickstead by popular demand, this thrills and spills cross-country competition is the ‘not-to-be-missed’ feature class for Thursday 27th July.
  3. The Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of Great Britain: Friday 28th July sees the only opportunity for the British public to watch their team compete on home ground for a place in the toughest yearly showjumping competition in the world. 
  4. The Breen Equestrian Queen Elizabeth II Cup: The showjumping highlight of Saturday 29th July, this exciting class was originally only open to women riders, but has allowed entries from both men and women since 2008. This was also the year in which the first Ladies’ Day was established, and this tradition has been followed annually since, with the day always being celebrated on the Saturday of the show. 
  5. The Longines King George V Gold Cup: Held in the Longines International Arena on the final day of the Horse Show, this esteemed championship attracts the best showjumpers from around the world, competing for the highly coveted title; it’s an event every rider dreams of winning. Sunday 30th July also sees the pinnacle of the meeting’s national showing championships; the Supreme Products Supreme Pony Championship and the Barberstown Castle Supreme Ridden Horse Championship.
