Bridie is the ultimate hacking/pleasure all-rounder with a golden temperament. She is as safe as they come and gives everyone confidence that gets the pleasure of riding her. She is the type of horse that you can leave off work for 6 months then hop straight back on and she will ride like she was ridden yesterday! She is a 16.3h 11 year old unregistered Clydesdale roan mare. She is such a gorgeous colour with a beautiful head with a real genuine kind eye. She catches the eye where ever she goes and is complimented by everyone as she is very striking. She is gorgeous inside and outside to match and will make someone a horse of a life time for sure. She has clean limbs and straight movement. She’s a very desirable type as she has a good amount of bone so will carry a larger rider, yet she is incredibly respectful and can also be ridden by small riders in just a snaffle, so she would appeal to the whole family with her very gentle nature to match. She really excels as a pleasure horse to take on sponsored rides, happy hacks, horse holidays, beach rides. And best of all she is super safe and very genuine and honest with a quiet gentle temperament.

Bridie is with me to sell on behalf of her elderly Irish owner of 7 years due to them reaching the end of their riding days. It is a heart breaking sale of her horse in a million and she would very much like to stay in touch. The right home is very important to her as she really does deserve to be loved and pampered. She has never been hammered and has been very well looked after all of her life. I have also known and followed Bridies journey with her owner and have been over to Ireland several times for holidays where I have ridden Bridie which has always been a real pleasure. Bridie has now been at my yard in England for just over 2 weeks where she has been perfect and a real yard favourite.

Bridie is super to hack both alone and in company. This is what she has predominately done with her owner for the last 7 years and it really shows as she is rock solid and relaxing to hack. She is great with traffic and hacks straight out onto a busy through road where traffic goes flying past her. She doesn’t even bat an eye lid as tractors and Lorries go past her. She is very calm and sensible in open spaces, she will canter in any order within a group without getting strong or competitive; she doesn't mind being over taken. She tends to be towards the back of the rides as she is naturally on the steady side. She gives her rider lots of confidence as she isn’t going to run off with you or do anything silly, she is as rock solid as they come. She has been on lots of pleasure rides which she really does excel at, she gives other horses confidence as he is such a calm influence. She is so much fun on pleasure rides and always makes you smile and have a good ride. She is also up for popping the small logs. She would be the ideal type to take on horse holidays and enjoy hours of exploring together as she is super comfy too.

Bridie has good basic schooling established with lovely flowy comfortable paces. Her paces are very smooth and flowing. She moves very nicely for a large breed horse and can work very sweetly into the contact with a lovely outline, making her way of going look very smart. She is a steady ride in the school and does need leg from her rider. Although she is a steady ride she has really good transitions and isn’t dead to ride or a real kick along, just nicely steady. This makes her rider feel very safe and also means that Bridie is suitable for nervous/ novice riders as well as more competent riders. She would actually be perfect for the RDA as she really is so safe and dependable. She has done some dressage also with her owner and always gets some good scores as she can ride a very accurate test and never looses marks by spooking. She is a real safe steady confidence giver to ride and not the spooky or sharp type and the type that you can very much pick up and put down and she never changes. She is snaffle mouthed for everything with a lovely light mouth. She is very forgiving and doesn't mind if her rider loses balance or misses a beat, she will just slow down and let you catch your balance. She is also amazing to ride bareback and even hacked out up the road bareback and was rock solid. She would suit a wide range of riders from novices through to riders that just want a straight forward easy going ride that they can pick up and put down.

Bridie enjoys popping over small show jumps and cross country fences. She hasn’t done loads of jumping due to her owner’s preferences but has jumped logs out hacking and has been xc schooling where she pleasantly surprised everyone with her little pop; who said Clyds cant jump!?!. She will happily jump around a small course of show jumps and xc jumps and enjoy herself but she isn’t a world beater and isn’t being sold as a jumper, but as a pleasure horse who will pop a few jumps here and there. She went straight through the water too. Her attitude is fantastic though and very genuine, always wanting to please.

Bridie has a superb quiet temperament; you really wouldn’t find a quieter easier horse. She really is such a nice sweet person who wants to be everyone’s friend and wouldn’t hurt a fly. She is easy to handle and is very polite with manners to burn. She loves to be groomed and pampered and is always a very happy girl who puts a smile on your face. She is such a kind loving girl who is very gentle and calm. She is very good to clip, bath, shoe, load, catch ect. She will live alone or in company and in or out, she just goes with the flow. She is so much more than just a horse, she will be your best friend and part of the family. She would make the perfect leisure/pleasure horse for hours of hacking and fun rides with some bits of riding club thrown in for fun. It is really important to her owner that Bridie finds a 10* home where she will be loved and enjoyed. She has many more years of fun to offer someone and a lot of knowledge and safety to give to her rider, you just can’t get this from a young horse as they are still learning themselves.
