Lovely family pony

Kizzy is an approx. 13.1hh 12 year old cob. Owned by a family with 4 young children and currently ridden by a couple of 9-11 year old girls; she is very child friendly.

Kizzy loves hacking and will hack alone and in company, I regularly ride her and lead another pony from her too. She is more ‘whoa’ than ‘go’ so would be suitable for those on the lead rein or older, less confident children who don’t want to go everywhere at great speed. She is good to tack up and stands well for mounting.

She has played some basic mounted games in the school, goes over poles and pops a small jump. Kizzy is definitely less motivated in the school but is still very obliging. She knows basic ground work and lunges at walk, trot and canter with changes of direction, she knows how to back up from the rope and from the halter and how to yield her fore and hind quarters.

To handle, Kizzy is very kind, happy to stand and be groomed, used to children approaching her in the field and grooming her without a head collar on and plaiting her mane. She is a good doer and lives out unrugged in a mixed herd 24/7. She’s unshod with brilliant, strong feet and is good for the farrier.

Kizzy would love a little human to dote on her! She really thrives when she has a consistent relationship with her human.
