Horses for Part Loan/Share

Looking for a part loaner/sharer for my two horses as due to an injury I am unable to ride or do yard duties for the unforeseeable. There is an option to loan just one or both.

They are to stay at the yard they are currently on just outside of Ashby de la Zouch which has access to an indoor and outdoor school. They share a field and I do not wish to spilt them up as they are best mates.

Batman (skewbald) is a 17 year old, 15 hand cob gelding. He is a true gent, with 3 nice paces, but can be lazy if you don’t keep your leg on. He has had children and a complete beginner ride him.

He has been doing intro dressage at local shows and he takes in all in his stride. He does like pole work and jumps. I would like him to continue to work on his dressage and jumping and would be happy for him to be taken to local shows.

He hacks and works in the school on his own and in company.

Batman is good to deal with however he is allergic to hay so has an alternative diet to manage this and suffers with sweet itch.

He turns in and out nicely, happy to be bathed, clipped and will stand for hours. He is a real genuine sort.

Bentley (dapple grey) is a 10 year old 14’2 cob gelding. He will need confident/experienced rider as he will on occasion try it on, once he knows he can’t get away with it he gives up straight away.

Bentley is very willing and doesn’t seem to let anything phase him. He has a nice, paced walk and trot, but his canter does need some more practice. He will do trot poles and has been to pole clinics, would be happy for him to be taken to clinics. We have started raised trot poles, but not jumping.

He hacks and works in the school on his own and in company.

Bentley is good to turn in and out. When hosing down he does tend to fidget and you just have to be firm with him.

Bentley likes lots of attention, is very food driven and a complete cutie.

I am looking for a contribution towards upkeep and farrier costs (both are barefoot). On agreed days would expect help with turn in/out, mucking out and general horse care.

You would be expected to have you own rider insurance.
