Gentle, kind sensitive gelding looking for the right person

This beautiful boy has been completely (professionally) re started and rehabilitated over the 3yrs that I have owned him, having not been backed correctly / sensitively initially. He has also grown rather a lot and is now too big for me sadly.

Scooby was very wary of humans but is now much more trusting. He is an angel to handle in the stable and adores attention and being groomed. We think he has had an accident being led to the field so needs careful management when being turned out, with a strong 1:1 bond I think this will vastly improve with time but he is not a horse that would suit a busy livery yard or an inexperienced handler. Excellent to load & travel, loves being clipped and great for the farrier.

Scooby is solid and never had any soundness issues. He is currently barefoot and has BE evented barefoot too!

If you are an aggressive rider / personality then Scooby is not the horse for you. He will thrive with someone confident, quiet and sensitive with horses. When ridden confidently by an experienced rider he is good as gold, someone who can sense if he gets tense or worried and can reassure him in the moment is an absolute must.

Scooby will not be sold to a novice, a dealer, or anyone that wants a project to sell on. This horse had a rough time before I got him and had been let down badly by humans passing him around repeatedly.

Scooby will stay with me as long as needs be but he is ready to go and have a lot more fun than I can have with him so I am tentatively advertising him to see if there is anyone out there that can offer him a good home.

He is a big moving horse, fantastic to hack (he loves it) not spooky or sharp. He has done well in several 90cm ODE’s and absolutely bombs around XC courses, he could easily move up to 100cm.

His flatwork shows promise, his canter still needs work and this would help improve his SJ.

For the right person (local or at current yard) I would consider LWVTB.
