Beautiful Welsh D gelding

12yrs gelding 15hh Welsh D

Only selling due to being pregnant and having to be sensible!!

Charlie has hunted in previous home. I’ve taken him xc which he absolutely loves! will jump anything you point him at, not strong or silly. He is a forward going little horse not much leg is needed! (If you’re looking for a kick along this is not the horse for you!) he’s not a novice ride doesn’t do anything silly just forward, very quiet in mouth. He’s a horse that you can go out and have some fun on and he wants to learn and do his best.

Lovely to ride on the flat nice balanced paces (walk, trot, canter) I’ve taken him to arena hire with a set of show jumps and again jumped everything I asked of him and wants to do the best he can for you.

Great in open fields comes back when asked, great out hacking alone and in company (I mainly hack alone) good in traffic will pass buses/lorries and cyclists.

Good for farrier, good to load and travels beautifully, happily stand to be groomed and tacked up. Good to clip his feathers I’ve not clipped his body, but I’m sure he would be fine.

Up to date with vaccs and worming.

Currently lives out all the time with my 3 mares with no issues.

Only issue I do have with him is he can be noise and sudden movement sensitive, I’ve been working in this with ground work and desensitising. He’s improved so much since I’ve had him. Not the best to catch but I have treats with me and he’s fine, again in time he will be fine. He needs a 1-1 home so he can build trust and bond with someone and enjoy life. Needs someone who is calm and confident. He will only go to best home for someone to enjoy him forever.
