I have owned Magic for 4yrs. He retired sound and is never sick or sorry. He lives in or out. This winter only spent one week stabled overnight when the weather was at its worst. The rest of the winter he has come in for hay/haylege and feed a few hours during the day. He doesn't cost the earth to feed, very good doer for his breed! He's the more sturdy, traditional Irish stamp of TB.
Hacks in company and has what I call his "road mode". Not phased by any traffic. I don't hack alone so haven't tried this with him.
He has mainly done Polework Clinics (which he loves), hacking, UA SJ and Dressage with me. Took him to Sunshine Tour at Hickstead and he took it all in his stride.
Magic is happiest when he's working. He loves a job to do and lives for a "good boy"!
Unfortunately I just cannot give him enough work. He doesn't need riding every day but equally he needs a proper job. He moves beautifully and has a decent pop in him for jumping. His rider (me) is holding him back. As it turns out I don't have the time or inclination to go and do what he could, with someone else.
No novices as he is a big, powerful boy who would excel in a competition/competitive RC home.
