15hh Sec D gelding seeks patient experienced jockey to restart

Darcy is a beautiful Sec D gelding looking for a very experienced person who can take a lot of time to re start him. He was going very nicely under saddle a couple of years ago, and has now had a couple of years off due to me just not having the time to keep him going. He was very tricky to start, and he can be explosive if you don't read him and go at his pace. I can explain his quirks. He is well worth some patience as when you gain his trust, he is superb. He will hack alone or in company, he is balanced and soft and a pleasure to ride when he's happy and relaxed.

Darcy had a short showing career in hand, winning Championships and gaining great comments from judges. He would be a very worthwhile project for someone experienced with the breed, looking to show. He would be happy to show in hand this season, or under saddle as a long term project.

He is a clever boy, and as with most Ds he can be suspicious. He can also be a total sweetheart.

He's good to catch, fort farrier and to load handle etc - all when he is happy and confident in a routine. He's been great in heavy and large traffic and he's everyone's friend in the field.

He is wasted in the field with me. I have too many horses and too much work on. He deserves a special person who will go at his pace and reap the benefit of a fantastic little horse in time.

He will only go to a very experienced long term home.

This boy is absolutely not a spin project to resell, he seeks someone with lots of time and patience. Would be ideally suited to a NH home.
