13.2hh, 11 years, Piebald Gelding

Secret has lived with us since he was 4 years old and since has enjoyed the riding school. He is now communicating that he prefers to have a one to one home as he struggles to process all of the emotions that our riders bring, and explains this to us by not moving forwards and wanting to help his riders anymore. Secret is just letting us know he is wanting a new job as he enjoys riding with our confident riding staff team. He enjoys hacking, he is fine on the roads and in open spaces. He is a safe pony and not spooky however he needs emotional support and love and therefore it doesn’t suit him to teach riders what to do. Secret prefers to follow but will lead if you give him confidence. He is good to ride in all ways but not fitted as a jumping/competition pony due to him having both stifle’s operated on as a 4 year old. Secret is built relatively big for a 13.2hh pony and therefore would also suit a taller rider. He travels and loads well, is good with the farrier/ dentist, great to catch and comes to call, good to bath, clip and lunge.

Secret has yearly vet health checks for the riding school license. He had his teeth done every 6 months until he turned 10 years old and now can be viewed yearly (he has had 5 star care since being a 4 year old). He has his feet trimmed every 6 weeks, and his worming and vaccinations are up to date. As all our horses have, Secret has undergone physio when required as part of our maintenance routine. Friendly in the field with the geldings, we choose to have him out with the geldings in summer time not the mares as he has been seen to jump on their backs however in the winter period he is fine to be out with the mares.
