2008 Prestige 7.5 Tonne DAF Coachbuilt Horsebox

For sale our 2008 Prestige DAF LF 45 Horse lorry, only selling due to needing a 10 or 12 tonne lorry as taking three out now.

For anyone that knows who / what Prestige were - this needs no further introduction. A truly excellent build quality, Oakley have a 2006 for sale currently at the same kind of money as equivalent Oakleys.... that says it all..

Spec is huge as previous and only owner had this from new and specced it to high heaven, but in summary:

Driving and horse area:

DAF LF 45 Chassis, Manual Gearbox

Heavy duty cab air conditioning for driver and passenger (find another)

3 seats in cab, heavy duty covers in place as leatherette has worn

Exhaust brake, cruise control

Stalled for three, heavy duty rubber matting replaced in 2021, ramp resealed and carpeted in 2021

DEFRA approved horse fans (in/out) in horse area

Horse area lights, red travel lights and ramp light

Horse area camera and reversing camera - screen on dashboard.

Horse area temperature sensors - readout in cab

Only 111k KM (69k miles) from new - one owner from new before us. Only ever been a horsebox.

Living area:

Living area - can sleep four, sleeps two very comfortably in luton bed and table converts to a bed

Blown air webasto diesel heating - also does the hot water system - blown heating in bathroom

Dometic Tec29 Petrol generator - push button start from inside living area

Gas stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, 6 bottle wine fridge

Casette toilet and shower cubicle, sink basinette in bathroom

loads of storage above seating area and full wardrobe height storage next to kitchen

External Storage and Facilities

Large saddle locker to front - three pin power outlet inside. Two further saddle rack in horse area as well as rug racks

Full underfloor storage from side to side

Two tack lockers to rear which do not impede on horse area (wall is built flat)

Horse shower and water hookup at rear left locker

Generator housed in rear most right hand side locker

Two further storage lockers on right hand side

Gas bottle and diesel heater housed in further lockers and isolator and see through storage to front

All lockers are fully lit with LED lighting and there is power sockets in the saddle locker

If we did not need a higher weight class, this lorry would not be for sale. It's a fantastic lorry and does everything we need and more. Warm and comfortable, self sufficient with the generator, air con for the summer, it has it all.

Just had a fresh 12 month MOT. The previous owner had the adblue system disabled which throws an engine warning occasionally but we have had it checked over and it passes it's MOTs fine. Also means you don't need to put adblue in it.
